Travel and Tour Opportunities

A variety of Day and Overnight Tour opportunities are scheduled each year to give participants a chance to explore different attractions and experience new places of interests.  We will update this list periodically as we add or cancel trips.  Make sure you register early as all trips have both maximum and minimum enrollments with deadlines for both.

All tours include deluxe motor coach with tour director. Refreshments will be served on-board served along the way. There will be appropriate rest/stretch stops scheduled.

APRIL 12-15: WASHINGTON, DC- CHERRY BLOSSOM FESTIVAL 4 Days/ 3 Nights (Thursday-Sunday) Accommodations at Greenbelt (MD) Holiday Inn. Includes (3) Breakfasts and (2) Dinners. Reserved seating for Cherry Blossom Parade viewing. Tour of Arlington National Cemetery and visit Smithsonian Institution & guided tour of the Capitol. Cost: $591.00 per person/ twin.

APRIL 28: NANTUCKET DAFFODIL FESTIVAL This day trip is a wonderful way to cast off the gloom of winter and get ready for the warm, sunny days to come. The island and town will celebrate daffodils with decorated antique cars, art exhibits, and hats bedecked with daffodils.  Trip includes round trip ferry transportation from Hyannis to Nantucket.  You'll have time in Nantucket to shop and enjoy lunch on your own.  Cost: $146.00 per person.  WAIT LIST ONLY

MAY 5: 9/11 MUSEUM OR ONE WORLD OBSERVATORY It will be hard to choose between the two amazing options on this trip.  The 9/11 Museum allows you the chance to see images, artifacts and hours of video about the tragic day and learn about the aftermath where the nation showed its defiance in the face of terrorism. The One World Observatory is a 102 story experience that starts with an amazing ride to the top. See all of NYC and learn all about this great city's historical landmarks from the top of the world! Cost for 9/11 Museum: $102.00 per person  OR  Cost for Observatory: $111.00 per person.

JUNE 24: A MAINE ADVENTURE  Come and enjoy a day with us in THREE lovely Maine towns!  You will have a chance to stop and explore Portland, Scarborough and Kennebunkport with time for shopping along the way! And don't forget the delicious Lobster Clam Bake on the beach as well! Cost: $104 per person.

JUNE 27-29: A TRIP TO THE HUDSON VALLEY New York's Hudson Valley is rich in farmlands, vineyards, and American history!  This 3 day/2 night trip will include 2 breakfasts, 2 dinners, lunch at the Caterina de Medici Restaurant of the Culinary Institute of America, tours of the Roosevelt Estate and Presidential Library and West Point as well as Hudson River Cruise. Cost: $616.00 per person/ twin rate.

JULY 7: NANTUCKET & MARTHA'S VINEYARD Experience the charms of two great New England islands, Nantucket, and Martha's Vineyard. We will take the Hy-Line Fast Ferry Transportation from Hyannis to Nantucket with early afternoon ferry to Martha's Vineyard and a return ferry from Oak Bluffs to Hyannis early evening. There will be time for browsing the villages and grabbing a nice meal on your own at one of the many wonderful restaurants. Cost: $145.00 per person.

JULY 14: THIMBLE ISLAND CRUISE This 45-minute cruise features the Thimble Islands, an archipelago of small islands in Long Island Sound off the Connecticut coast, aboard Volsunga IV. * Enjoy luncheon at the U.S.S. Chowder Pot III  Restaurant, Branford, Connecticut. Luncheon options include: Boston baked scrod, baked stuffed chicken breast, or English-cut slow roasted prime rib. JULY 29: GLOUCESTER CRUISE AND ROCKPORT! Come along for a day trip to Gloucester, one of the most charming towns on the Massachusetts coast! Board the Beaufort Princess for a 2 1/2- hour cruise of this beautiful seaside landscape. Enjoy the buffet featuring freshly baked rolls, spring salad, pasta alfredo, chicken picatta, haddock, vegetables, red bliss potatoes, and chocolate mousse dessert (menu items may be subject to change). AUGUST 14-15: RED SOX VS. PHILLIES TRIP This 2 day/ 1 night trip to the Philadelphia, the "City of Brother Love" includes reserved seats for a special inter-league game featuring the Red Sox v. Phillies, a (1) night stay at the Wyndham Philadelphia Historic District Hotel including a Full American Breakfast Buffet.and sightseeing tour of Philadelphia.  Cost: $259.00 per person/ twin rate

AUGUST 18: CABBAGE ISLAND CLAMBAKE  Travel from Boothbay Harbor, Maine to Cabbage Island aboard the Bennie Alice enjoying the scenic coastline with its charming lighthouses, seals, ospreys and other wildlife. Settle in for a great traditional Maine Clambake featuring NE fish chowder, steamed clams, two luscious Maine lobsters, corn on the cob, Maine potatoes, onions, hard-boiled egg, Cabbage Island's signature blueberry crumb cake, coffee and tea. Cost: $143.00per person.
