The Billerica Historical Commission submitted comments in opposition to the removal of the historic Talbot Mill Dam. We will link to those comments once live on the MEPA website.
In its role as an official agent of the municipal government, the Billerica Historical Commission is responsible for community-wide planning for historical preservation. Many of its activities are interrelated with those of other Town Boards and Commissions. Its most important functions are to preserve and categorize historically significant properties, structures, and landmarks.
Some of the tools used by the Commission in preservation efforts include the use of the Demolition Delay By-law and the Circa Sign Project. Read this article about our sign project:
