The Select Board elected to use ARPA funds towards updating the Town Hall Buck Auditorium and the Town has been working through the design phase throughout 2022 with the architects, PRA. The project will include new lights, new paint, acoustic updates, chairs, sound system, and a re-do of the floor. The Town will use Room 110 for storage and move the meeting room upstairs to the balcony. This would allow for some natural light and an upgrade to the meeting room. This work will be paid for with $1,270,000 of ARPA funds, $600,000 appropriated by Town Meeting (Fall 2022), and a $130,000 grant. The construction phase of the project will begin May 15th, 2023 and finish before Fall Town Meeting in October. During this time frame usage of the Auditorium will be very limited.
